Obituary of Wayne Riordan
Wayne Anthony Riordan, 51, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, passed away at Lutheran Care Center Sunday, October 17, 2010. A lifelong area resident, he worked in the building trades for many years before getting seriously injured. He had a passion for fishing. He spent many carefree hours fishing all over with his children, nephews Kevin and Michael and many friends. He always shared his many stories with friends and family. He was a fun and loving person and everyone instantly took a liking to him. He was his children's best friend and loved them dearly. Born in Poughkeepsie on December 9, 1958, he was the son of Raymond and Doris Meddaugh Riordan. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Doris Riordan Grey and Fred Grey of Poughkeepsie; his daughter Jacqueline Riordan and her boyfriend Gary Foshay; and his son Austen Riordan of Poughkeepsie; brother, Raymond of Poughkeepsie; brothers and sisters-in-law Ronald and Pamela Riordan and Richard and Jeannie Riordan of Poughkeepsie; brother and sister-in-law Gary and Linda Riordan of Burlington Flats, NY; his companion Candace Lewis and many nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved by all and will be sorely missed. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 5pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, lnc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral Services will be held at 7:30pm during visitation at the funeral home; his nephew, Kevin Riordan, who is an Ordained Minister, will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
