Obituary of Matthew Rogers

Matthew P. Rogers, 34, of the Town of LaGrange died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Born in Poughkeepsie on January 4, 1977, he was the son of the late Joseph T. Rogers, Sr. and Rita Bogdanowicz. Matthew received his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Dutchess Community College. He worked in loss prevention at Hannaford Store in LaGrange. On July 27, 2001 he married Sabrina M. White in Hyde Park, NY and she survives at home. Matthew enjoyed martial arts and the Miami Dolphins. In addition to his wife and his mother, Matthew is survived by his son Lucas Rogers and his daughter Logan Rogers at home. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph T. Rogers, Jr., of Poughkeepsie and his mother and father-in-law Cathy and Arthur White of Hyde Park, NY and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 3:00 - 6:00pm. Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 10:00am at Blessed Kateri Church in LaGrangeville, NY. Burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
