Obituary of George Rothlauf

George H. Rothlauf, age 87, of, Wappingers Falls, died Friday, April 22, 2011 at The Pines in Poughkeepsie, New York. George was born January 23, 1924 in Albany, NY the son of the late Henry and the late Caroline (Westervelt) Rothlauf. In Albany New York on November 23, 1948 he married Dorothy Rockenstire; she predeceased him March 7, 2001. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a retired employee of IBM East Fishkill as a Manager. George Liked to sing, play cards and loved being with his family. From 1983 to 2008 George lived in Vero Beach Florida. He was a member of the K of C in Vero Beach and was a member of St. Mary's and St Columbas Church. He is survived by three daughters: Christine Papele of Purling, NY, Janice Sabbaugh of Wappingers Falls, NY, Holly Brower of Wappingers Falls, NY, one son: Neal Rothlauf of Longwood, FLA, his daughter And son In-law, Amy And Michael Corcoran of Hopewell Junction, NY., grandchildren Jeremy, Ashley, Nicholis, Adam, Kerry, Kelly, Ryan, Kyle, Nicholis, great-grandchildren Camden, Skyler, Aiden, Colin and several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his grandson Zachary Brower, two bothers Neal and Jerry Routhlauf and a sister Catherine Gomez. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family, at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
