Obituary of Vishal Shah

Vishal S. Shah, 22, of Newark, NJ, formerly a 22 year resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 in Newark, NJ. Mr. Shah was a dental student at the University of Medicine and Dentistry. He was a Boy Scout with Troop 25 and received the Eagle Scout Award, he was a volunteer EMT at Teaneck Ambulance Service and Young Jains of America and a member of Temple Hindu Samaj. Born March 17, 1986 in Beacon, he was the son of Shailesh and Nayana Shah. He was a graduate of Spackenkill High School, was attending the University of Medicine and Dentistry and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his brothers, Vinay Shah of Poughkeepsie and Ujas Shah of Troy; his paternal grandparents, Chimanlal and Chandrika Shah of Poughkeepsie; his maternal grandfather, Manilal Shah of India; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
