To the entire Smith Family, my condolences. I have the BEST childhood memories of Smitty coming to my back porch (in the 1970s) to deliver milk. He never came without a piece of candy for my sister and me. He was a kind, hard working man. His visit was one we looked forward to all week long!

To the Smith Family, It was sad to hear about the passing of Smitty. Normally it would be a luxury to have milk, etc. delivered to our home but with three young children and a family of five it was necessary. However, the real luxury was having a man like Maturin faithfully doing his job. Yes, he even cleaned the outside of the milk containers before delivering them. We always admired Smitty. All our best, Richard and Susan Leigh

We extend our condolences to all of Smitty's extended family and friends. Our family has many long and fond memories of Smitty brightening our days when he delivered milk out here in Clinton Corners from the 1950's till the 1980's. What a gem of a man! He surely blessed countless people during his long life. Thank you, Smitty. May you rest in peace.

One of my fondest memories that I have of "smitty" was the first time I met him, when I got home from college. I had just started working for my dad delivering ice cream, and "smitty" was eating lunch at T-Man while on his route. He insisted I sit and "break bread with him." We talked for an hour about life and cattle. When I left there I knew I had met a great guy, and a person that I admired immensely. I am truly sorry for your loss. I am away this week and will be thinking of all of you, and all the great memories that my family had with your dad. If I can do anything, please don't hesitate to call, Mike Sinon
