Obituary of Joseph Sullo
Joseph J. Sullo, 83, a local Poughkeepsie resident of 17 years, previously of Hawthorne, died on February 27, 2009 at Luther an Care Center. He was a Milkman, Dellwood Dairy for 30 years; Maintenance Man at St. Agnes Hospital until his retirement in 1985; served in the US Army WWII, served in the South Pacific; loved fishing, woodworking and building things with his grandchildren. Born April 25, 1925 in White Plains, he was the son of Joseph and Louise Tucci Sullo. On August 3, 1947, in White Plains, he married Anita J. Rabasco, who survives at home. Survivors include sonJohn and wife Lillian Sullo of Long Pond, PA; daughter Sharon and husband Gary Baum of Hyde Park, NY; grandchildren John Jr., Nichole, Brianna Sullo; Michael and Amy Baum; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Nicholis and Ann Sullo. Calling hours will be held from 3:00 to 7:00pm Monday, March 2, 2009 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, White Plains, Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 11:00am. The family would like to thank the staff of the Lutheran Care Center for their loving hands and caring hearts. Memorial donations in Joseph's name may be made to the Lutheran Care
