Obituary of Mary Sundblom

Mary Ann Sundblom, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, NY died on October 10, 2008 after a long illness. Mrs. Sundblom was born on March 12, 1929. She attended St. Mary's School and Poughkeepsie High School. Mary Ann was employed at Caldors in Poughkeepsie, NY. Her main Christian service, however, was that of a devoted wife and mother and a good neighbor to others. Mrs. Sundblom enjoyed cooking, gardening, making silk flower arrangements and crocheting. Mary Ann and her husband Bill recently enjoyed their 61 wedding anniversary. Mrs. Sundblom is survived by a son, Eric Sundblom and his wife, Diann of Pleasant Valley, NY, a son, Karl Sundblom and his fiancee, Kim Remsburger of Staatsburg, NY and a daughter, Linda Dolfinger and her husband, Frank of Hyde Park, NY. Mrs. Sundblom is also survived by her brother, John J. Robinson and his wife, Phyllis of Wappingers Falls, NY, a sister-in-law, Irene Robinson, serveral grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband, Will E. Sundblom on March 6, 2008 and her mother, Ella M. Lent Robinson Barrett and her father, Leroy E. Robinson, a brother, Leroy Robinson and a brother, Louis J. Robinson and his wife, Maryann and a sister-in-law, Rene Davis and her husband, James E. Davis Jr., Call hours and service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Graveside services will be held 11am, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at the Union Cemetery, Hyde Park, NY.
