Obituary of Rose L. Takacs

Rose L. Takacs, age 85, of Poughkeepsie died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at home in Poughkeepsie. Rose was born September 5, 1925 in Poughkeepsie, NY the daughter of the late Rocco and the late Anna Napoli Rigitano. She married John M. Takacs June 30, 1946 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She was a Home Maker and local resident all her life. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church; she loved to do crossword puzzles, play Bingo and even helped out at Mount Carmel’s during Bingo. She is survived by her husband: John M. Takacs of Poughkeepsie, Son And Daughter In-law, Mark And Eileen Takacs of Poughkeepsie, NY; Son And Daughter In-law, Michael And Debbie Takacs of Staatsburg, NY; Daughter And Son In-law, Diane And Jeff Reiser of Poughkeepsie, NY, Sister Fannie Martell of Poughkeepsie, NY, grandchildren, Marc Takacs and his fiancé’ Andrea, Scott Takacs and his fiancé’ Nicole, Sarah Crispell and her husband Gregg, Samuel Takacs, Kimberly Kane and her husband Gregg and Kelly Reiser. Rose is also survived by her great grandchild Avery Crispell and Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Rigitano and four brothers Ralph Rigitano, Dominic Gallo, Salvatore Gallo and Frank Gallo. Memorial donations maybe made to a charity of your choice in Rose’s name Calling hours will be Tuesday May 3, 2011 from 9am to 11am at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmel Place, Poughkeepsie where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
