Obituary of Isabelle Vail

Isabelle M. Vail, age 86, Poughkeepsie New York, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Lutheran Care Center, Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Vail was born October 13, 1924 in Ossining, NY the daughter of the late William and the late Essie (Green) Carrigan. On April 18, 1954 at the Community Methodist Church in Ossining NY, she married George H. Vail; he predeceased her February 1, 2007. She loved her family but most of all she loved all of her grandchildren. Isabel loved to cook, sew, and do crafts and to entertain. She was employed by as a Nurse at various Doctors Offices and Nursing Homes. Mrs. Vail was a member of Mothers Club at Vassar Brothers Hospital and also was a Foster Parent. She is survived by her Son and Daughter In-law, Gary G. And June Vail of Hyde Park, NY; Daughter And Son In-law, Pamela S. And Richard Duda of Poughkeepsie, NY, Grandchildren, Isaiah Vail, George Morano, Scott Lovelace, Nathanial Vail, Jessie Vail, Amy Lovelace and several nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her first Great Grandson Mason Vail. Isabel was predeceased by her daughter Linda Joy Vail Lovelace, her brother Kenneth Carrigan and a sister Gertrude Hudson. Calling hours will be Friday from 5pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie New York. Burial will be in Rosendale Cemetery. Memorial Donations can be made to the Parkinson Foundation or to the American Heart Association .
