Obituary of Edward Vishnesky

Edward J. Vishnesky, 69, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, formerly of the Albany area, died August 4, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Mr. Vishnesky worked for IBM East Fishkill in the Micro Chip Division, retiring on Dec. 31, 1994. After his retirement he worked for Phillips Semi Conductors in Fishkill. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Holy Trinity Church. He loved the NY Mets, NY Giants, Horse Racing and also loved to travel and see the world. He was born Oct. 28, 1938 in Albany, NY to Joseph and Bertha Schultz Vishnesky. Survivors include sister and brotherin-law, Jennie and Dominick Mariani of Vooresville, NY; sister and brotherin-law, Florence and George McGloine of Saratoga Springs, NY; brother, Thomas Vishnesky of Poughkeepsie; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, James Powers. Calling hours will be Aug. 7, from 6pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Aug. 8, 9:45am, at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Ave., Poughkeepsie.
