I am saddened to hear of Laurie's passing. I worked closely with her for many years at Astor/BOCES Adolescent Day Treatment Program. She was friendly, bright, consciencious and professional in her work. She cared about her clients and their families. She was someone I could always go to for suppport and advice. I know she cared deeply for her family. She will be missed. My condolences to her family. Richard Valliere

Steve, Will and Nick, Our condolences for your loss. It just seems so unfair and harsh. Know that you are in our prayers. Laurie was a special person and the world is diminished by her passing. Her love for her family seemed boundless. She brought that to her work, helping children and families, leading with her heart. She was quiet and gentle and touched others deeply and she will always live in my heart.

I don't know if there are enough words to describe the pain i felt when I was told of Laurie's passing. There is a special verse that i would like to dedicate to Laurie -- If tears would build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home to Will again. Every soccer game/practice that we attend going forward will be with memories of you. I know you will watch over your family and you will be forever near. Rest in peace Laurie and thank you for being a part of our EH soccer family.

Dear Steve, Nick and Will, We're fortunate to have been Laurie's neighbors. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then it says a lot a that a garden that looks like yours appeared on the south side of our house! Laurie provided us with seedlings from her garden, patiently replaced them when they didn't make it under my care, and discreetly watered and untangled our vines. She became my friend and mentor. I'll always cherish our "porch & patio coffees" and you should know that the recurring theme was how much joy and happiness the three of you brought to her life. Love, Sarah, Muhsin & Ayla

You left us too soon and you will be missed very much. You always showed your love of life and your love of family. You have left us with a rich legacy in your sons along with Steve and Diane. We are richer for having you in our lives, you only brought us joy and pride. We remember you swimming with the boys in the pool, you were such a strong swimmer, and as you did with life you enjoyed it to the maximum. You were 8 months pregnant with Nick when you took the subway to NYC from Brooklyn to see us, how we appreciated that, and always laughed at your love of life. We will continue to love you. Again you only brought life, love, pride and happiness to us. Uncle Richard and Marcy

During this difficult time I would like to extend my most heartfelt sympathies. Laurie was very dear to me. I would never be where I am today without her. She was instrumental in building my confidence, skill, and empathy for the clients we served. I felt very validated by her: She was a friend as well as a mentor. I know how much she loved and adored her family, and know she will remain alive in all of your hearts. Best wishes during this difficult time.
