Obituary of Theresa Osterman

Theresa May 'Kriss' Osterman 83 of Poughkeepsie, New York, died at Lutheran Care Center on January 20, 2012. She was a Teacher's Aide at Oak Grove Elementary School, Poughkeepsie, NY for 35 years retiring in 2003. Theresa was a local resident since 1952, was a member of Dutchess County Heart Association in the Women's Auxiliary and a Troop Leader of the Girl Scouts of America. Theresa was of member of Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peters Parish, she loved to bake, enjoyed completing crafts with friends, spending summers with her friends and family in her summer home in the Adirondacks, Born in Yonkers, New York May 4, 1928 she was the daughter of Edward and Josephine Pospisil Kristan. Theresa was a 1946 graduate of Roosevelt High School, Yonkers, NY. On June 21, 1952 in Yonkers New York she married Paul Charles Osterman; he predeceased her December 19, 2004. She is survived by; Daughter and Son In-law, Suzanne Osterman-Meyer and Dan Meyer PhD, Staatsburg; Daughter Dianne Sinon, Hyde Park; Son, Ronald Osterman, Hyde Park; Daughter and Son In-law: Lynne and Carlo Miscedra, Hyde Park; Son and Daughter In-law: Karl and Laura Osterman, Wappinger Falls; Grandchildren: Aimée, Tim, Matthew, Kara, Deidra, Sean, Kelly, Christopher, Theresa, Phillip, Paul A., Eric, and Deborah. Theresa is also survived by Great Grandchildren: Lauren, Liam and Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Calling hour will be held Tuesday January 24, 2012 from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie New York. A Funeral Mass will be held 10am Wednesday January 25, 2012 at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, St. Peter's Parish Poughkeepsie NY with Father James A. Garisto Officiating.
