Obituary of Claude Townsend

Claude B. Townsend, 64, passed from this life into eternity to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on May 15, 1947, he was the son of Clarence and Simone Rota Townsend. Claude worked in highway maintenance for the Town of LaGrange Highway Department. A lifelong resident, he was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church and he enjoyed golf, flag football, touch football, fishing and was a very loving, caring person. Claude married Janet Smith on March 27, 1999 at the Faith Assembly of God Church and she survives at home. In addition to his wife also at home is LeeAnne M. Harrison who he was a father figure to. Survived also by stepdaughters Jeanette Harrison of CA and Joanna Harrison of Poughkeepsie and by his mother Simone, his brothers; Thomas Townsend of CA, and James "Jimmy" Townsend and his wife Renee of Pleasant Valley, NY. In addition, Claude is survived by stepchildren from his previous marriage, Kathy Calagero, Richard and Raymond Scutt. Claude was predeceased by his father. The Family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Faith Assembly of God Church. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Faith Assembly Church, 254 Spackenkill Rd., Poughkeepsie, NY from 3:00 - 6:00pm. Prayer service will follow calling hours.
