Obituary of John Peterson

John R. Peterson, age 85, of Poughkeepsie died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Lutheran Care Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. Mr. Peterson was born February 11, 1927 in Floral Park, NY. He is the son of the late Ernest C. and the late Florence M. (Pieper) Peterson. He married Joan M. Howell on January 22, 1955 in Floral Park New York. John was a graduate of Sewanhaka High School Floral Park NY and the RCA Institute of New York City. He served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from IBM Poughkeepsie as a Designer in 1983. John was a Honorary member of the VFW in Hopewell Jct. New York He is survived by his wife: Joan M.(Howell) Peterson of Poughkeepsie; sister Eleanor Pearson of Plainview Long Island and two nieces and their spouses.
