Obituary of M. Virginia VanWagenen

M. Virginia "Ginny" Van Wagenen, a lifelong area resident and most recently of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, February 16, 2012, at the Victory Lake Nursing Center. Born October 22, 1921, in Verbank, NY, she was the daughter of Ernest R. and Blanche Rapelje Miller. She attended local schools and retired from the Bank of New York. She is survived by her grandson, Mark Gibson of Germany; daughter-in-law, Judy Gibson of St. Charles, MO; longtime companion, John Buccellato of Milton; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard T. Gibson in 2010, and her brother, Francis R. Miller in 2011. Burial was private at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
