Obituary of Lillian Hanlon

Lillian V. Hanlon died March 5, 2012 at The Gorham House near Jim and Marguerite in Maine. She was born March 8, 1916 in Beacon, New York to Anne and John Vail. Lillian married the late William Hanlon on June 2, 1937. Residing in Poughkeepsie for 73 years, she worked alongside Bill for 40 years at Bock Florist, the Nolan/Hanlon Poughkeepsie family business. Her active lifestyle included participation at: Tri-Phi Trinity United Methodist Church, Poughkeepsie Business and Professional Women's Club, Board of Managers, Vassar Warner Home and 32 years at Meals on Wheels of Greater Poughkeepsie. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
