Obituary of Doris Cox

Doris A. Cox, age 88, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at The Pines of Poughkeepsie. Doris was born May 21, 1923 in Amenia, NY. She is the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Goldie (Cooper) Burch. She married Douglas Cox on April 24, 1941 at Poughkeepsie New York. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Cox on June 29, 1983. Doris was a lifelong area resident, she was a member of the Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church, she enjoyed gardening and take care of her " Little House" She is survived by ; Nephew, Michael Grega of Poughkeepsie, NY; Nephew, Vincent Grega of Wappingers Falls, NY, her Niece, Karen McCollum of St. Petersburg , FLA. and several great nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by two brothers, Floyd and George Burch and two sisters Beatrice Grega and Gladys Watkins A graveside service will be held 10:00 am on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
