Obituary of Margaret Cataldo

Margaret (Peggy) Cataldo passed away peacefully on May 10, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. Peggy was born on August 28, 1940 in Beacon and was the daughter of the late L. James and Roberta Morgan. She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Butler. She was a longtime resident of Beacon, and graduated from Mount Saint Mary's High School in Newburgh. Peggy was both a devoted mother and homemaker, as well as a businesswoman in her younger years. She had a passion for world travel and vacationing, and worked for many years as a travel agency owner. Peggy was beloved for her kindness, her beauty both inside and out, her good advice, and her wry sense of humor. She touched many lives and was an inspiration to all that knew her. Peggy is survived by her loving husband John Cataldo of Beacon, her children, Melissa Cataldo, Christopher Cataldo and Susan Cataldo, her loving sister Catherine Lotsko and her husband Joseph Lotsko, as well as aunts, uncles, her niece and nephews, relatives, friends and pets. There are no calling hours. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 15 at 10:00am at St. Joachim's Church, 51 Leonard St., Beacon.
