Obituary of Joan Traver

Joan Marie Traver, age 80, of Hyde Park, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at home in Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Traver was born November 25, 1931 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late James and the late Verlie (Meisner) Baker. She married Donald Traver, he predeceased her on June 13, 2007. She retired from Vassar College as a Key Punch Operator in 1987. Joan Loved to go on cruises, she is a member of Hyde Park AARP, Life member of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department Ladies Auxillary and a member of the Arlington Reform Church Poughkeepsie. She is survived by her Daughter And Son In-law, Susan And William Budai; Daughter And Son In-law, Donna And Ray Fernandez; Granddaughters, Billie West And Sandra Catanzaro-Irwin; Grandson, Brandon West; Great Granddaughters, Sierra West And Kayley Murphy; Great Grandsons, Howie Irwin And Tommy Irwin. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Entombment will follow the service.
