Obituary of Dorothy Jankovitz

Dorothy C. Jankovitz, 89, a lifetime resident of Poughkeepsie,NY, passed away at the Pines Nursing Home on July 22 2012,. Born on June 19, 1923 in Poughkeepsie she was the daughter of John and Mary (Skiba) Kowalski. On April 11, 1948, she married Peter G. Jankovitz. Mr. Jankovitz survives at home. In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her son Peter and wife Nancy of Poughkeepsie, a son Paul and his wife Joanne of Kingston, and a daughter Susan and companion Louis deOlde of New Paltz. Grandchildren Barbara ( David) Webster, Larissa (Stephen) Inglis, Tara Jankovitz, Seth and Laura Martel, Kaitlyn and Lindsay Jankovitz. Great-Grandchildren Justin, Joseph, Jacob, Jeremy, Joshua, Jillian and Braden. Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters Josephine and Mary brothers John and Leonard. Calling Hours will be July 24, 2012 from 4:30pm-7:00pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie. There will be a private burial.
