As you described your father's wonderful sense of humor in your recent e-mail correspondence, it made me smile. In as much as I have not seen you in years that is one thing I remember about you. You have a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Remember all those times of joy with your father and take care of your heart. Hugs and More Hugs, Ken Walker

Dearest Susan, I am so very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing! And so sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences to you and your family. You're never ready and you never want them to go; you want them to be with you forever. How wonderful that you have such an indelible picture of him, so clear in your mind about his sense of humor, his thoughtfulness and concern for others and that he has never been a quitter--that he's a survivor and a winner. What a wonderful man he must have been! He has modeled for you all these incredible qualities, so you can carry on in life and use them as secrets to a good life. He gave you that gift and you got it, I mean you really absorbed everything he taught you! How fortunate to have had a Dad like that. So in the face of this incredible loss, think of all you have gained and if you can focus on all that he left you and gave to you and carry the torch on inside you on continuing to lead the life he would want for you. That's how you keep him alive in your heart and that's how you lessen the pain of losing him. You'll think of him a lot--could be even every day--and he will always be with you that way. Sending you my love and heartfelt sympathies, Sherri

Dear Sue, my sincere sympathies to you and your families. It is heartening that you had so many years to share his love. I sometimes think of the reunion of my mother with loved ones. Dear Sue and family, My heart goes out to you in this sad time. I’m so glad you were able to have and appreciate your dad for so long, especially these last few years. With his passing, one of your main links to an innocent childhood is gone. What’s left is your siblings and memories. Cherish them fully.
