Obituary of Alicia Polletta

Alicia Ann Polletta- Beekman ,NY Alicia Polletta, 35, crossed over on August 29 at Vassar Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. Alicia loved life, nature, animals and music. An outgoing, gregarious free spirit, Alicia loved travel, visiting almost all 50 states, making friends wherever she went. She also enjoyed going to concerts. Beloved daughter of Elizabeth (Betty Still) Polletta, niece of Kate & James (Bubb) Sprague, Thomas & Sue Still , and Anne Still . She was predeceased by her father Anthony Polletta Sr. and her grandparents Thomas and Evelyn Still. She is survived by her loving cousins Michael DeVita, her "little tidbits" Jessie & Ethan Sprague, and her Kitty Babies Bella & Beans. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Walkway Over the Hudson, Poughkeepsie side. A reception will follow at 3.P.M to 5:30 P.M. James Baird State Park, Pavilion #1. This is a celebration of Alicia's life and we ask you wear your favorite concert t- shirt, comfy clothes or hippie chic outfit. The family is grateful for all the wonderful care given to Alicia by the "Rock Stars" at the Dyson Center, Dr.Reyes, Maria Badami and their staff.
