Obituary of Linda Remsburger

Linda M. Remsburger, age 73, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. Linda was born May 1, 1939 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was the daughter of the late Zora and the late Vera (Wells) Botkin. Linda was married in Poughkeepsie to Clarence North on September 26, 1956, Clarence Predeceased her on October 17, 1982. On July 17, 1983 Linda was remarried in Poughkeepsie to David Remsburger he also Predeceased her on July 8, 1996. She was a retired Bank Manager of Sun Trust Bank in Charlotte NC. Linda was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Poughkeepsie and the Morning Star Lutheran Church Charlotte NC.. A local resident most of her life, she moved to North Carolina in 1983 and returned to Poughkeepsie in 2011. Linda was a Graduate of Arlington High School, she loved to read and she also had a love for animals especially her Pugs. She is survived by her daughter : Darlene North and her husband Kenneth Lillis of Poughkeepsie, NY; her son Justin North and his wife Jenn Vigars-North of Wappingers Falls, NY; a sister Judith Botkin of Lincolnton, NC; her grandchildren James, Jason, Shawn, Trevor and Kyle North. Linda is also survived by her stepchildren, Kim, Krista, David, Dennis, Kelly Remsburger and their spouses. She is also survived by several Step-Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she is also predeceased by her Son, Jeffrey North on April 22, 2009. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 27 from 4pm to 6pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be held 6:00 pm following the calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
