Obituary of Ruth Palmatier

Ruth E. Palmatier, 74 a resident of Hopewell Junction died Thursday, October 18, 2012. Born in Poughkeepsie on October 26, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Adilia and Henry Conrad. She was married to the late Edward Palmatier. Ruth was employed at Candy Lane and Woolworths in the past before becoming disabled. She was a homemaker, and loved cooking for family gatherings. She loved gardening and raising birds. She was the eldest and last survivor of five children. Her brothers were Henry Conrad and Elmer Conrad. Her sisters were Betty Raymo and Adrianne Williams. Ruth is survived by her five daughters, Theresa Gaddy of Highland, Linda Ackert and her husband William of Pleasant Valley, Roberta Secreto of Fishkill, Evelyn McPherson and her husband Delroy of Poughkeepsie, and Katherine Lange and her husband Timothy of Gardener. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Aleck Palmatier and wife Lynn, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 10am to 12pm. Funeral services will take place at the Funeral Home at 12pm. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
