Dear Dianne and family, I was so shocked to read of Waynes death today in the paper. I am out of town for the evening and tomorrow but had taken the Poughkeepsie Journal with me. Unfortunately I wont be able to make it back for the mass or burial services, but I will be there in spirit for Wayne. Wayne was a good friend and co-worker during our IBM years. We worked on a number of projects together in the 80's as Servive Planning Reps. We made many trips together up to Kingston to do battle with the software developers and I remember that Wayne always enjoyed those battles. We overcame and provided the 380 series computers with a signifigant and greatly improved automated reporting stategy. Later on when I returned to IBM as a contractor I specifically asked for Waynes help again as we worked together to improve reporting accuracy. Wayne was very articulate and wanted 100% accuraccy and he worked tirelessly to make it happen. I will miss Wayne. Sincerely; Bill Fisher

to the entire witter family-have been thinking of you so much since i heard the news about your dad. i have recounted to friends that i always felt so welcome in your home. to the boys-your mom and dad were always so warm and so welcoming to me. i can only imagine how painful this is for all of you. your dad was a dear sweet man. sending much love, strength, and healing.

My condolences to the Witter family. Wayne sat in the chair next to me in the dialysis center. He alway smiled and joked through out his treatment. I will miss him, his laugher as will many of us at the center..May he rest in peace our lord.
