Obituary of Ellen Pacio

Ellen M. Gattine Pacio, of Poughkeepsie, NY died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born in Poughkeepsie on March 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen Robinson Gattine. Ellen was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and was a member of St. Mary's Church. On May 17, 1953 she married Patrick S. Pacio at St. Mary's Church and he predeceased her on March 29, 2004. Ellen and her husband were the owners of Pacio Wine & Liquor in the town of Poughkeepsie and she had previously worked at Western Printing. She loved to read, paint and cook. She enjoyed being around her family. Ellen is survived by her daughter Susan Pacio-Keir and her husband Marc of Poughkeepsie, her grandchildren Joy Pacio of Poughkeepsie, Maya Pacio of Weedsport, NY and Nicole Pacio of Elbridge, NY, her great-grandchildren Kyrah Knapp, Zoey Stebbins and Aria Stebbins. Ellen is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Edward and Dolores Gattine of Hazelton, PA and her sister and brother-in-law Margaret "Pudgie" and Ralph DeStefano of LaGrange, NY, and daughter-in-law Donna Pacio of Weedsport, NY. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her son Patrick D. Pacio on November 10, 2008. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
