Obituary of Patricia Ireland

Patricia A. " Patty " Ireland, age 67, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Patty was born August 20, 1945 in Middletown, NY. She is the daughter of the late Albert J. and the late Anna B. (Shuback) Knapp. She married Edward J. Ireland on September 1, 1973 in Poughkeepsie, New York. Patty was employed by the Town Of Pleasant Valley as a Bookkeeper, Patty had a passion and amazing dedication to her job. She was employed with the Town from 1991 till the present. Patty previously worked at Russell Fuel for over 18 years and also worked 2 years at Hargrave Reality . Patty was a local resident all of her life. Patty had a great love for her family especially her grandchildren. Zachary and Travis were her most precious and important boys. She never went a day without making sure they were okay and had everything they needed. She was the greatest grandmother. Her love for them was unconditional and as well as them for her. She was courageous her boys would always say. She is survived by her husband: Edward J. Ireland of Poughkeepsie; her son and daughter in-law Keith and Dianna " Dee Dee " Livingston of Milton, NY; grandsons, Zachary and Travis Livingston of Milton, NY; brother George Knapp of Hyde Park, NY and her brother and sister in-law Ronald and Chris Knapp of Poughkeepsie, NY. Patty is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Jackie and her husband Harold Folmsbee, Tara and her husband Shane Baker, James Knapp, Jessica Knapp and Patrick Knapp. Patty was predeceased by her parents, a daughter Deborah Lynn Livingston and her sister in-law Paula Knapp. Calling hours will be Sunday, December 9 from 2pm to 6pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
