Obituary of James Bocchino
James A. Bocchino, age 36, of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. Jimmy was born October 26, 1976 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Anthony Bocchino and Laurie J. (Brandt) Miller.
He was employed by Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel as a Executive Chef. Jimmy also worked at some of the area's top Restaurants. Jimmy was a local resident all his life, he was a graduate of Arlington High School and attended the CIA in Hyde Park, New York.
Jimmy loved being a Chef, he had a passion for cooking, and we will all miss his delicious meals. Jimmy was an avid Yankees and Giants Fan, liked golfing loved to BBQ and swimming at his Moms. But most of all he enjoyed playing video games with his son Anthony.
He is survived by one son: James A. Bocchino Jr. of Poughkeepsie, NY; his mother Laurie J. Miller and Step Father, Charles E. Miller Jr. of Poughkeepsie, NY; Grandmother, Margaret Brandt of Poughkeepsie, NY; Step Brothers Charles E. Miller III and his wife Stephanie of Poughkeepsie, NY; Bruce C. Miller and Beth Hout of Millbrook, NY and his Girlfriend, Yvonna Aponti-Wheeler of Poughkeepsie, NY. Jimmy is also survived by many nieces, nephews cousins and a ton of friends.
Jimmy was predeceased by his Father, Anthony C. Bocchino, Grandfather, James J. Brandt and Grandmother and Grandfather Betty and Joseph Bocchino.
Calling hours will be Sunday, January 6 from 2pm to 6pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at St. Mary's Church, Church Street, Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, New York.
