Obituary of Rosa Garcia

Rosa N. Garcia, 83, of Wappingers Falls, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters, first born granddaughter and son-in-law on January 13. Mrs. Garcia was born in Colon, Mantanzas, Cuba on January 18, 1929. She was predeceased by her husband, Reinaldo Garcia. Mrs. Garcia and her husband immigrated to the US in 1968. She and her husband left everything behind in the pursuit of freedom and opportunity for their four children. She is survived by her children, Reinaldo Garcia, Jr. (wife Marcella), Clara Shults-Toulan (husband Daniel), Maria Garcia and Rudy Garcia. All reside in Dutchess County. She is also survived by her grandchildren whom she adored -- Jennifer, Kristina, Daniel, Amanda, Jason, Matthew, Sarah, Callie and Jared, and was blessed with a great-granddaughter, Paige. Mrs. Garcia loved her family and took great enjoyment from the many happy memories created during family vacations and from the constant family gatherings and celebrations. Most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who she is now spending eternity with. She will never be forgotten by her children and grandchildren. Her constant sacrifices were not in vain and will never be taken for granted nor forgotten. She's left a beautiful legacy and the most precious gift of all ... the gift of passing on her faith so we would all know that one day we will all be together again.
