Obituary of Ayed Shahin Haddad
Ayed "Rocky Shahin" Haddad, 46, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Born in the city of Amman, Jordan on September 24, 1966, he has been a resident of the city of Poughkeepsie since his family immigrated here in 1976.
A life-long entrepreneur, Ayed found his greatest success with his company "American Recycling", he also ventured into construction and landscaping businesses. While work occupied Ayed's days, his passion laid in his art, his favorite way to express that passion was to lay pencil to paper and try to brighten someone's day by surprising them with a beautiful sketch. His numerous selfless acts for each and every member of his enormous family were only outshone by his unconditional love. Ayed will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and enormous personality which brightened any room he entered. He will truly be missed.
Ayed was the beloved son of the late Shahin Haddad and Naifah Nesheiwat Haddad. He is survived by his brothers, Jubrael, and Ghattas of Poughkeepsie, Walid of Amman, Jordan, and his sisters Nadia Mikhail, Diana Haddad, Ghada Haddad and his 18 nieces and nephews and 14 grand nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Friday February 8th at 4-8 pm and Saturday February 9th at 10am at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. . Funeral services will be Saturday at the St. James Church Violet Ave. New York 12603. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery.
