Obituary of Robert Palmer

Bob Palmer, age 66, died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on February 21, 2013. Bob was born October 13, 1946 in White Plains, NY, he was the son of Robert and Marjorie (Jean) Palmer. Bob was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Katonah, NY. He received his Bachelors degree from Villanova University and his Law Degree from Albany Law School. Bob practiced Law in Poughkeepsie, NY for over 30 years, specializing in litigation. He was a partner in his own law firm at 90 Market Street Poughkeepsie, NY. Bob was a member of the NYS Bar Association and served as the secretary for several years and was the Chairman of the NYS Bar in 1996. He was an avid golfer, reader, sports fan and traveler. Bob is survived by his father; Robert E. Palmer of Brewster, NY., son Jonathan Palmer of LaGrange, NY. son Brian Palmer of Tampa, Fl., One granddaughter, Kaitlyn Palmer, two sisters Joanie O'Dell of Brewster, NY., Nancy Perrott of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday February 26, 2013 from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Wednesday February 27, 2013 at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Brewster, NY. Burial will follow at the St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery.
