Obituary of Bradford Adam
Bradford Holland Adam entered into rest at home surrounded by his family on March 17, 2013. Brad was born on June 12, 1948 in New York, NY to Dr. T. Holland and Gladys Adam.
On June 21, 1969, Brad married Linda Hubig. They have been happily married for 43 years. Brad was currently employed by Sushi with Gusto of Greer, South Carolina as a regional team leader. He was a long time member of the Elks and served as the 6th exalted ruler 1986-87. He was also an active member of the New Hamburg Yacht Club and Family Ski Meisters.
Brad grew up in Armonk, NY before attending Delhi Agricultural and Technology College where he earned an associates degree in hotel management. He then attended SUNY Oneonta and obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology.
In addition to his loving wife, Linda, Brad is survived by his two daughters; Tracy Adam-Hinphy and her husband, Patrick Hinphy of Farmingdale, NY; Dr. Stephanie Adam and her fiancé, Michael Dyszler of Goshen, NY; three beautiful grandchildren Kate, Erin, and Timothy Hinphy. Other survivors include sister-in-law, Hilde Britton, brother-in-law and wife, Fredrick and Pauline Hubig, and many nephews and nieces who loved him dearly.
Brad had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed playing golf and poker and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with his family, traveling, and music. Brad cared deeply for his friends and was very blessed in his last days to be visited by so many.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 20th, 2013 from 4-8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 21th, at 11am at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
