Obituary of Mary Okros

MaryL ee Okros, age 59, a resident of Wappingers Falls died on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 after a valiant fight. MaryLee, cherished daughter of John and Angela Giumarra was born on October 10, 1953. She spent a charmed childhood growing up amongst an enormous, loving, extended family and her four siblings in the village of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. MaryLee is survived by her paternal grandmother, Vincenza Giumarro, sisters Dorothy Heneghan, Michelle (Thomas) Bowe and her two brothers Louis and John (Mary) Giumarro. She was a devoted aunt to her nine nieces and nephews. MaryLee, adoring mother to Jon and Daniel Okros and his bride Analis was also a doting grandmother to precious Pahris Okros. They were the light in her life. her church fellowship brought so much meaning and joy to her life. She, along with her church family was tireless in her charitable endeavors. She was a friend to all and truly lit up a room when she entered. MaryLee's determination, her zest for life and her fervent faith will long live in the hearts of all whom embraced her. The world is a better place because of our MaryLee and her Amazing Grace. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00am at Faith Assembly of God, 254 Spackenkill Road, Poughkeepsie, NY.
