Obituary of Rose Moschetto-Martorana

Rose Moschetto-Martorana of Town of Poughkeepsie entered into rest on June 12, 2013 after a long illness. Rose was born on April 27, 1941 to the late Guiseppe and Angelina Aiello in Casteldaccia, Sicily. She was the second of four children. On August 7, 1963 she married Francesco Moschetto-Martorana in Palermo, Sicily. Francesco predeceased her on February 14, 1992. Together they created a happy and loving home in the Town of Poughkeepsie where they raised tow sons. Rose also worked at JK Dress Company in Poughkeepsie. Rose was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Pleasant Valley. Rose is survived by her two sons, William Moschetto-Martorana and his wife Aileen of Poughkeepsie, and Joseph Moschetto-Martorana and his wife Gwen of Pleasant Valley, her grandchildren Rosemary and Joseph Moschetto-Martorana of Poughkeepsie and Frank and Caity Moschetto of Pleasant Valley, as well as her sisters Mary Pizzuto of LaGrange, Nancy Moschetto of Poughkeepsie and brother Frank Aiello of Poughkeepsie and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 4:00-8:00pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at St. Stanislaus Church, Pleasant Valley, NY. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
