John Joseph Beatty, Jr., age 68, of Hyde Park, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. Mr. Beatty was born November 4, 1944 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late John Joseph and the late Edna May (Simmons) Beatty Sr.. He married Lena M.Hanselman on August 4, 1965 at Trinity Methodist Church. He retired from City Of Poughkeepsie as a(n) Heavy Equipment Operatorin 2011. Avid Yankee's and Jets Fan, Loved to play cards with his brothers. He really loved to spend time with his Grandchildren and family. He is survived by his wife: Lena M.(Hanselman) Beatty , one daughter: Melissa Hollister of Rhinebeck and one son: John J. Beatty III of Missouri; ; he also has four grandchildren.
