Obituary of Melvin Burger

Melvin Allen Burger, age 62, of Hyde Park, died Monday, December 16, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mel was born September 29, 1951 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Donald K. and the late Mildred (Velie) Burger. He was a Self Employed General Contractor. Mel was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, he loved to Golf, was an avid Yankees Fan and Mel was loved by all that know him. He is survived by one daughter: Teresa M. Burger of Grahamsville, NY; son and daughter in-law: Jeremiah and Anne J. Burger of Pleasant Valley, NY; brother and sister In-law, Timothy and Joanne Burger of Hyde Park, NY; brother and sister In-law, Donald and Deborah Burger of Jonesboro, TN; grandsons, Jack and James Burger and companion, Joan Lillis of Hyde Park, NY. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 12pm to 3pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
