Obituary of Olga R. Mullins

Olga R. Mullins, 97, of Poughkeepsie, NY and previously of Yonkers, NY, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born on September 28, 1916 in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary D'Amato. Olga had attended Yonkers High School and was a member of St. Eugene's Church in Yonkers, as well as membership for senior citizens at the Rauso Post in Yonkers. She had worked as a sales clerk for Wannamaker's, as well as working as an assistant manager at Genung's in Yonkers. She was a local resident since 2010. Olga married Thomas Mullins on July 25, 1933 in Yonkers, NY and he predeceased her in September, 1972. Olga is survived by her daughter Patricia DiLonardo of Poughkeepsie, NY, her stepsister Victoria Turco of Yonkers, NY, son in-law Philip Spinella, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband who predeceased her, Olga was predeceased by her daughter Margaret Spinella, her brothers Frank and John D'Amato, her sister Else Korchma and her son-in-law Joseph DiLonardo. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 4 - 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Martin de Porres Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers, NY.
