Obituary of Clara La Morte

Clara La Morte was the youngest of nine children. Clara was born on August 8, 1916 in Brookline, Connecticut to the late Maura and Donato De Carlo. She married Alfred La Morte on September 5, 1938 at the Church of St. Anthony in the Bronx, NY. Their family is- Fr. Richard La Morte, Madeline and William Grossi and Robert and Marie La Morte, four grandchildren: Michael Grossi, Christine Waszczak, Robert and Miranda La Morte, five great grandchildren: Stephanie Grossi, Tyler Waszczak, Nicole Grossi, Isabelle Waszczak and Lucy La Morte. During her ninety-seven years, Clara lived in the Bronx, Ancram, Albany, and Poughkeepsie from where she went home to God on February 7, 2014. There she has rejoined her much loved husband, parents and those who have gone before her. The vigil of her funeral will be held on Monday, 10 February from 4-8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Poughkeepsie, NY, with the mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Tuesday, 11 February, at 11:00am, at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Chapel at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY.
