Obituary of Jacqueline Hughes

Jacqueline B. Hughes passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie at the age of 87. Born June 17, 1926, she was the daughter of Michael and Alice Bodkins. Jackie was a lifetime resident of Poughkeepsie NY. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1943 and married A. Gordon Hughes in 1945. She was self-employed as a bookkeeper retiring at the age of 77 while working at Sky Acres Airport, Lagrangeville, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, step-father Harry Lavelle and her brother Robert Lavelle. Jackie is survived by her daughter Cathy A. Webster and her husband Bill of Poughkeepsie, her son Stephen G. Hughes of Lee, MA. Her grandchildren Adam J. Konzen of Poughkeepsie, Brandy Webster of Tallahassee, FL and Great Grandson Levi Baker of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by her Sister-in-Law Linda Lavelle of Saratoga Springs, NY. Nieces and nephew Dawn Share and her husband Fred of Ormond Beach, FL, Michael Lavelle and his wife Brenda of Humble, TX, Julianne Lavelle of Ormond Beach, FL and their mother Marilyn Lavelle of Ormond Beach, FL. Dawn and Fred's children Brian of Santa Monica, CA, Matthew of Denver, CO, Adam of Orlando, FL, Kevin and Lisa of Ormond Beach, FL. Michael's children Michael and his wife Maria and daughter Claire of Syracuse, NY and Kendra of Santa Clara, FL, Julianne's son Kyle of Ormond Beach, FL. Keeping with her wishes there will be no services. Her ashes will be taken to Key West, FL to be scattered as she requested at a later date.
