Obituary of Patricia Daby

Patricia S. Daby, age 68, of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at home in Poughkeepsie. Patricia was born September 15, 1945 in Katonah, NY. She is the daughter of Charles J. and the late Margaret (Giles) Van Streader. She married William E. Daby in Connecticut in 1971. She was employed by Dutchess County Social Services as a Records Manager, retiring in 2010. Patricia was a local resident most of her adult life, previously from Katonah, New York. She was a Graduate of John Jay High School in Katonah. Patricia loved to shop, collect rings, clocks and angels. She is survived by her husband: William E.Daby of Poughkeepsie, son: Brian Daby of Poughkeepsie, NY; son and daughter In-law, Stephen and Olivia Daby of Walden, NY; Grandsons, Skyler And Sylas Daby of Walden, NY., sisters: Jeanie Allan of KY, Nancy Cashman of Hyde Park and one brother: James Van Streader of AZ. Patricia was predeceased by her Mother, Margaret Giles Van Streader in 1987. Calling hours will be Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 11am to 1pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday following the visitation. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
