Obituary of Patricia Davis

Patricia A. Davis, age 72, of Toccoa, GA, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at home in Toccoa GA. Patricia was born January 8, 1942 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late Edward W. and the late Alice (Secor) Chapman Sr. She married Charles R. Davis Sr. on August 27, 1961 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Davis Sr. on January 20, 2005. She was employed by Standard Gage for 32 years as a Assembler. After retirement Patricia went to work for the Arlington Central school District as a bus monitor. Patricia was a lifelong resident all her life and a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. She loved to do Crafts and loved her dog Brodie, but Patricia especially loved and enjoyed being with her Family. She is survived by her son and daughter in-law Charles R. " Chip " and Jen Davis of Poughkeepsie, NY, grandchildren, Cortney Sheehan and her husband Frank, Corey Phillips, Justin Davis and his wife Alicia, Adam Davis. great grandchildren Chyanne Lindley, Madison Davis and Gavin Sheehan. Patricia was also survived by her three sisters, Barbara David of Poughkeepsie, NY., Carol Schaefer of Rochester, NY., Alice Parker of Toccoa GA. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Patricia was also predeceased by a brother Edward W. Chapman Jr. Burial will be in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours will be Friday, May 30 2014 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. In keeping with Patricia's wishes cremation will take place after the visitation.
