Obituary of John Humphrey

John J. " Jack " Humphrey, age 75, of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at home in Poughkeepsie. Jack was born June 2, 1938 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late John Joseph and the late Mary (Hayne) Humphrey. He married Dorothy L. Bell in 1972 at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church. He was employed by Imperial Barber Shop as a Barber and also worked at Hudson River for 33 years as a Barber. . Jack was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel's Church Poughkeepsie, Past Commander of the Son's of the American Legion Post 1466, was a coach for Little League in Poughkeepsie and served on the board of Governors, was a member of the Firemen's Exempts, Past Secretary of the Irish American Club and was treasurer of local 410. . He is survived by his wife: Dorothy L.(Bell) Humphrey , one daughter: Jacqueline Klosner of Mohawk, NY and one son: Scott Patrick Humphrey of Highland, NY; ; he also has one grandchild. Grandchildren, P.J., Christopher, Matthew And Josua. The funeral will be held 9:00 am on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmel Place, Poughkeepsie, NY with officiating.
