Obituary of Harry Burger

Harry Burger 80 of Lagrangeville, New York died Friday July 25, 2014 at the Dutchess Rehabilitation in Pawling, New York. Born in Poughkeepsie, New York on November 21, 1933 he was the son of Harry Sr. and Freeda VanTassel Burger. Harry served his Country in the United States Navy, he was a Truck Driver for the Town Of Lagrange Highway Department, retiring in 1988. Harry was a sports fan and avid METS fan. On January 11, 1959 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Harry married Mary Galluccio. Harry is survived by his wife Mary at home; brother Raymond Burger of Lagrangeville, NY>; brother in-law Joseph Galluccio and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service 10am Friday August 1, 2014 at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Harry's name to the American Cancer Society.
