Obituary of Matthew John Maslar

Matthew John Maslar, 43, passed away Monday, August 3, 2014, at Calvary Hospital. Matthew was born October 5, 1970, in Johnson City, NY, the son of the late Thomas and Barbara Felo Maslar. On November 26, 1999, he married Rosann Moccio at St. Peter's and Paul Church in Mt. Vernon, NY. His wife survives at home. Matthew graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in Economics. He was employed as Director of Quality Assurance at PICA9, Inc., New York, NY. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, a New York Yankees fan, and was interested in Steve Jobs and Apple computers. He is survived by his wife, Rosann Maslar; daughter, Gabriella Maslar; mother, Barbara Maslar; sister, Joan Maslar; sister-in-law Angela Benton and her husband, Gary Benton; sister-in-law, Donna Moccio; brother-in-law, Thomas Moccio and his wife, Tracy; brother-in-law, Nicholas Moccio, Jr., 10 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Thursday, August 7, 2014, 5-9PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY. Services will be Friday, August 8, 2014, 10AM at the Funeral Home.
