Obituary of Elisa Scardaci

Elisa Scardaci, 84, was born in the City of Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late George and Geni Viani and was a resident of Hyde Park for 60 years. She passed away on August 18, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Hospital after a brief illness. Lee is the wife of Salvatore, faithful and loving husband of 64 years and mother of 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was a 25 year employee of the Grand Union in Hyde Park. Lee attended Mt. Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie. She devoted much of her time and energy to cooking for her family, playing cards and hosting family get togethers. Being around her family was the most important thing to her. She was very deeply loved by all. Lee is survived by her husband, Salvatore, son Lawrence and his wife Debbie, son Steve and wife Laurie, daughters Linda, Lori and her husband Jim, Lisa and her husband Tony. She is also survived by grandchildren; Mike Scardaci and Chris Scardaci, Sarah Zacek and Matt Scardaci, Ashley Calloway, Samantha Killmer and Evan Brady, great grandchildren, Madyn, Judah, Tyler, Damien, Logan and Aria. She is also survived by sisters Louise Viani, Anna Gorges, and brothers Alfonso Viani and his wife Dolores, Joseph Viani and his wife Lynn and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Wednesday August 20, 2014 from 7pm to 9pm at the Timothy P.
