Obituary of George J. Miller

George J. Miller 90 formally of Millbrook and Wappingers Falls, died Sunday August 31, 2014 in Auburn, New York. George was born June 4, 1924 in Hopewell Junction, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Mikula Miller. George married his wife Rita on September 24, 1950 at St. Mary's Church Poughkeepsie. Rita predeceased him on July 4, 2012 George worked for IBM as a Quality Control Engineer. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club and a member of the Whortlekill Rod and Gun in Hopewell. George was involved with his wife Rita with Meals on Wheels, where he helped deliver meals to the senior citizens. George also loved to do mechanical work and be outdoors. He especially loved spending time at the Sacandaga Lake as the VP of the Silver Bay Boats and Beach Association. George is survived by three son's and their wives: Robert and Marianne Miller of Voorheesville, NY, Gary and Mary Ann Miller of Jordan, NY., Thomas and Janie Miller of Old Chatham, NY and his daughter and son in-law Cathy and Bobby Meyer of Wappingers Falls, NY. George is also survived by Six Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren. The Funeral and Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
