Obituary of GRACE CEPHAS

Grace Deloris Cephas was 81 when she made her transition. She was a resident of Lagrange, New York at the time of her passing, on September 19, 2014. Grace was born on August 16, 1933 in the Bronx to Juanita and Emilio Sanchez who both predeceased her. On May 3, 1959 she married her sweetheart Daniel Cephas and they were blessed with two children; Brittain Joy Cephas and Brian Cephas. Grace also is survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, her brothers Wayne Sanchez, Noel Sanchez and his wife Inez, many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and several dear and close friends. Grace was predeceased by three of her siblings Anna Marie Sanchez, Verne Sanchez and Joan Sanchez. Grace was a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School and college with a degree in Commercial Art. Grace worked for some of the finest publishing houses in New York City. Through the Years Grace's career path transitioned from Commercial Art to Television Communications, where she became the Station Manager for Trinity Broadcasting of New York, located in Fishkill, New York for 24 years. There she became a mentor, best friend and shining example of what a true Women of God is. she served on the Board of Directors of Trinity Broadcasting in Santa Ana, CA for 20 years. She was an ordained Minister of the Gospel in 1994 by Dr. Paul F. Crouch. Grace retired from TBN in 2005 however she never retired from her ministry of encouragement to the many people who crossed her path everyday of her life. Even when she had taken ill she spent time praying for those who were more ill and in need. She was a true women of faith! Grace enjoyed gardening, painting and sewing of which she did a lot in her spare time. Most of all Grace found Joy and Pleasure in her personal relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm Sunday September 21, 2014 and 10am to 11am Monday September 22, 2014 at the Faith Assembly of God 254 Spackenkill Road, Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 11am with Pastor Dr. Edward Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York.
