Obituary of Frances Williams Kennedy

Frances Owens Williams Kennedy 82 of Ghent New York died on Sunday November 2, 2014. Born in Poughkeepsie, New York Fran was the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Virginia Johnston Owens. Fran was a local Poughkeepsie resident most of life. She attended Roosevelt Schools and was a graduate of Arlington High School. Fran was a caregiver previously working at the Wilms Residence in Poughkeepsie, New York. Fran also previously worked at Perkins Pancake House in Arlington and the Brair Patch in Poughkeepsie. Fran resided at Camphill Ghent since the spring of 2012, she truly loved the compassionate and caring environment provided by the staff at Camphill. Fran was married to Charles L. Williams in May of 1951 he predeceased her in 1981. On November 21, 1993 at the Arlington Reform Church in Arlington, Fran got remarried to Patrick Kennedy, he predeceased her in 2009. Fran is survived by her son; Thomas Williams and his girl friend Karen Feldman of Hudson, New York, son and daughter in-law, Gary and Mary Williams of Poughkeepsie, New York, step granddaughter and her husband Jennifer and Justin Taylor, niece Linda Studler and her husband Ricky of Lagrange. Fran was predeceased by her two sisters Patricia Szabo and Doris Robinson. A Celebration of Fran's life will be held Wednesday November 12, 2014 from 11am to 1pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will also be a special event on Sunday November 23, 2014 at Camphill 2542 State Route 66 Chatham, NY to celebrate Fran's life and her wonderful spirit.
