Obituary of Nina Primerano

Nina Primerano, age 101, of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Nina was born June 24, 1913 in Colabra Italy, . She is the daughter of the late Concetto and the late Annunziato (Scondino) Fallanca. In 1930 she married Giuseppe Primerano in White Plains, New York. Nina was a local resident since 1992 previously of the Town of Harrison. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie, New York. Nina loved to read and knit. She is survived by one daughter: Katherine Pacensa of Mohegan Lake, NY; daughter and son In-law, Frances "Chic" and Howard Bowder of Poughkeepsie, NY; son and daughter In-law, Joseph and Arlene Primerano of Valhalla, NY.; two sisters: Frances Degina, Angie Magnotta and two brothers: Frank Fallanca, and Angelo Fallanca. Nina is also survived by Fifteen grandchildren, Thirty Six great grandchildren, Six great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Nina was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Strickland and great granddaughter, Kaitlyn. Calling hours will be Friday, November 28, 2014 from 3pm to 7pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home , 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, NY.
