Obituary of Brent Nelson

Brent A. Nelson, 53, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 surrounded by his family. Brent was born in Rhinebeck, NY on May 15, 1961 to Robert A. and June T. Fowler. On October 12, 2012 in Poughkeepsie, NY Brent married Carol L. Murphy who survives at home. Growing up Brent attended Arlington School District. Brent was Co-Owner of Station Brite, 1844 Rte. 55, Lagrangeville, NY 12540. Brent enjoyed snowmobiling, motocross and golf. He was an avid NY Giants Fan. He loved spending time with his family, he was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. Brent is survived by his son, Cody Brent Nelson of Poughkeepsie, NY, daughter, Casey T. Nelson of Rhode Island, step son, Thomas R. McCoy of Poughkeepsie, NY, step daughter, Megan C. McCoy of Cohoes, NY, step son Michael J. McCoy of Poughkeepsie, NY, grandson, Anthony R. Ashline of Cohoes, NY, sister, Nadine Rorden of Vermont, twin brother, Barry R. Nelson and his wife Trish of Lagrangeville, NY and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Calling hours will take place Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm at Timothy P.
